    Rev. Dr. Jackie Roese

Jackie grew up working on her family farm in Upstate New York. As an adult, she focused that work ethic in pursuing her Master's and Doctorate degrees while raising three children. She has taught the Scriptures and trained other women to do the same for more than 25 years. Jackie founded The Marcella Project (TMP), an organization committed to reshaping the view of women, in 2011. For a decade, TMP has ennobled women (lift up to dignity as Jesus intended) through Scripture-focused teaching, training, and dialogue. She has had the opportunity to teach women in the U.S. and women in Rwanda, Romania, India, Congo, and South Sudan. Jackie also trains women to teach through her She Can Teach training course. Publications: She Can Teach, Lime Green, I'm Enough, Relationshift, and over 30 bible studies for women. (Purchase on Amazon.com) Learn more at www.themarcellaproject.com.

In His Image

Dive into the Scripture to discern God’s story for women.

In His Image pulls back the curtain on that nagging “not enough narrative” lurking within us. We will learn it is not just us; it is an old narrative handed down through the ages. From there, we will dive into the Scripture to discern God’s story for women. We start with our Creation story, re-examining Genesis 1 & 2, (trust me, it is not what you think!) This is where we start to rebuild a new narrative, God’s narrative that we are indeed enough. Then we move to the fall and sin, and the ramifications sin has explicitly had on women. We have provided a literary of lament so we can grieve this alarming truth about women and girls. However, we do not’ end with despair; we end with hope because of Jesus Christ. All of that in just one class! It is a start. Stay with us; there is more Jesus has to say to us.
